Details of the proposed change:

Aspire Schools Trust is proposing to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN) for Westgate Academy from 120 to 90 pupils with effect from September 2028. The PAN is the number of pupils the school intends to admit into Year 3 each year. 

A feeder infant school to Westgate Academy has reduced its PAN for admissions from September 2027. As a result, the number of pupils expected to transfer to Westgate Academy in future years is projected to be lower. The proposed reduction will align the school's PAN more closely with anticipated demand for places and support the effective planning and use of school resources.

No other substantive changes to the oversubscription criteria or admissions arrangements are proposed.
